OASIS and the Proteomics Core Facility

OASIS: The Online Animal Scheduler for Imaging Systems in the Department of Pharmacology.

OASIS is an access-restricted website that makes use of an online scheduling system developed by Ctrl members for use by the Department of Pharmacology. Researchers use this system to schedule time on the various instruments available in the department, from the optical cameras to the microCAT. This system is available for use to members with internet computer access.

The Proteomics Core Facility: A Scheduling System for The Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Center of UCLA.

Like OASIS, the Proteomics Core Facility website is an access-restricted online scheduling system developed by Ctrl members for use by the Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Center, which is a facility affiliated with the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCLA School of Medicine), and the Departments of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry. Researchers use this system to schedule time on the facility´s instruments, from mass spectrometers to gel imagers. This system is available for use to members with internet computer access.

The Molecular Genetics Technology Center

The center provides a multitude of services to accommodate individual investigator needs in the production of (1. Embryonic stem cell targeting, (2. creation of transgenic mice using pronuclear injection and (3. Targeted genetic alteration animal models derived from ES cells with targeted mutation. The mission of the center is to provide services with high standards of quality control and in a cost-effective manner. The center serves as a source of expertise to investigators in the design and assembly of DNA constructs, on the availability of the transgenic animal models and for the evaluation and implementation of new methodologies as they arise.
