Quality of Life is a longitudinal health outcomes study of patients´s quality of life following treatment of prostate
cancer. Men treated for early stage prostate cancer are invited to participate in the study. Data collection is done on a
computer, with the help of a research assistant (RA). The same questionnaire is then presented to participants at specific
time intervals over a 4-year period to see how their quality of life changs, and how quickly they return to their
pre-treatment baseline quality of life.
The Survey Builder module was used to create a longitudinal study by specifying a set of electronically published surveys.
Other custom-designed modules are used to implement and manage the administration of this research project. The website
also tracks compliance and provides administrative scheduling.
